Basha Othman is a speech-language pathologist with a PhD in Family-Centered Practice and Deafness Studies from the University of Melbourne. She also holds a Bachelor of Speech Science (Hons) in Speech Pathology from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.
Based in Kuala Lumpur, she is currently the Habilitation Manager at Cochlear. With expertise in family-centered and early intervention for children with hearing impairments, she has held previous roles at Eartistic – Hearing and Balance Centre and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.
Basha also has experience in tertiary education and group management in early intervention settings.
Donna began her career as an early childhood teacher. She then trained as a Teacher of the Deaf, gained her Master Degree in Education of the Hearing Impaired and then became a Certified Auditory-Verbal Therapist®.
During her career of forty years, she has worked in a variety of roles and settings with individuals with hearing loss of all ages. Donna has worked in cochlear implant programmes in New Zealand, Australia, and the United Kingdom, including at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London and The Shepherd Centre in Australia.
Currently she works as Senior Auditory-Verbal Therapist for hearLIFE in the Southeast Asia and North Asia region. In this capacity she has worked in many countries and in many different capacities. She oversees all rehabilitation services for the hearLIFE clinics, and is responsible for the clinical skills of all rehabilitation professionals in hearLIFE Southeast Asia.
Ajimsha KM: accomplished audiology professional with over 18 years of experience in cochlear implant technology, hearing aid fitting, and electrophysiological measures. He has a strong background in international business management, project leadership, and strategic operations. As the Head of Advanced Bionics Southeast Asia, he is responsible for overseeing all operations and management in the region. Main areas of interest include business management, objective measures with cochlear implants, speech perception, and psychophysics.
Janani Jeyaraman: Accomplished Cochlear Implant Rehabilitation Specialist with extensive experience in rehabilitation program structuring, clinician training, intervention planning, research, and stakeholder collaboration across South Asia and Southeast Asia. Proven expertise in evaluating and restructuring rehabilitation programs, leading multidisciplinary teams, conducting professional training and education, and fostering cross-industry partnerships to improve outcomes and quality of life of persons with hearing loss. Published researcher and advocate for evidence-based rehabilitation strategies, with a strong focus on quality enhancement, efficiency, consumer excellence, and community engagement.
